- Check list, and map: item already removed before removing, or already added
- Determine usable connection number (webserver pool?, distributed env?)

Bad style or convenience

- Include a system property which can override standard ip of node
- Does not detect class hierarchy changes. If a superclass is added,
  the database needs to be migrated! That data is lost currently.
- "ids" and "nodes" table names are hardcoded in the database layer. 
  Also in NodeManager.
